Delivery Day Opportunities

Currently we are recruiting for 3 main jobs on Delivery Day. Learn more about each job below and then fill out the request form at the bottom of this page. 

Porters work together to bring gift packages from Santa's Depot to Delivery Driver sleighs in the parking lot. You can register as a group or as an individual.

Youth ages 16 and over are welcome to volunteer as porters, but one adult lead porter is required per four youth. All group members must be able to work independently and be capable of carrying loads of gifts to vehicles.

Each volunteer must register individually and book a shift time.

Things to note:

  • Please dress for the weather! You will be in and out many times throughout your shift, so dress in layers and shoes that you can walk in comfortably that won't get wet in the snow. 
  • Your volunteer work is crucial to Delivery Day running smoothly! Please try your best to be on time and stay for the duration of your shift. If you're unable to attend, please try to let us know at least 48 hours in advance.

Volunteers are needed to direct and control traffic in both the Burns Lot as well as at the Jerry Forbes Centre. Volunteers must be over 18.

Please note that this is an outdoor job, and volunteers must be able to stay for the full shift. 

Our technical support elves will be outside assisting both Porters and Drivers with our online delivery portal. Whether it's assisting to help scan Family Bags or help drivers set up their accounts - these elves need to be quick, nimble, and exceptionally tech savvy.

Delivery Day Shift Request Form 2025

Delivery Day typically runs from 6:00am-4:00pm - early morning shifts begin around 6:00am, mid-morning shifts begin around 9:00am, afternoon shifts begin around 12:00pm. 

These times are not finalized and are subject to change. 

Please choose your preferred shift time (if you do not have a preferred time - you can chose all 3)

  1. Porters are crucial to Delivery Day running smoothly! You must arrive on time and stay for the duration of your shift. If you're unable to attend, please try to let us know at least 48 hours in advance.
  2. Please ensure all group members are dressed for working inside and outdoors.  You will be in and out many times throughout your shift, so dress in layers and shoes that you can walk in comfortably that won't get wet in the snow.
