About Us

Mission:
CHED Santas Anonymous is devoted to bettering the lives of children in our community by delivering the "spirit of Christmas" to less fortunate children in Edmonton.

Vision:
Our ultimate goal is to spread the "spirit of Christmas" to children in Edmonton all year by giving aid where needed to boost a child's self esteem, dignity and well-being.

  • 1955    started by Jerry Forbes at 1080 CHED
  • 1955    provided gifts for 600 Edmonton children
  • 1958    Northern Alberta Sports Car Club members become the first mall donation pick up drivers
  • 1966    Beta Sigma Phi Sorority are the first wrapping bee group  
  • 1979    630 CHED Santas Anonymous has been gifting toys for 25 years
  • 1981    our founder, Jerry Forbes passes away
  • 1984    First Motorcycle Toy Run
  • 2000    last year operating from the 630 CHED/Corus Radio warehouse
  • 2001    campaign home is a closed Staples store
  • 2002    campaign home is a closed Food For Less store
  • 2003    campaign home is the Greisbach Drill Hall
  • 2004    630 CHED Santas Anonymous has been gifting toys for 50 years
  • 2004    campaign home is in Londonderry Mall
  • 2005    campaign home is at the Aluma warehouse
  • 2005    Incorporated under the Alberta Companies Act
  • 2006    We become a registered charity with CRA and can issue tax receipts
  • 2006-08 campaign home is the Crosstown Motors warehouse
  • 2008    Motorcycle Toy Run Celebrates 25 Years
  • 2009    campaign home moves to Northgate Industries
  • 2010    over 3,000 volunteers with over 13,000 volunteer hours
  • 2010    delivered gifts to more than 11,000 homes in 2 days
  • 2010    close to 25,000 children received a gift from 630 CHED Santas Anonymous

  We partner with the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton for those in need to receive a festive food hamper.

  We partner with the Edmonton Sun’s Adopt-A-Teen Program for youth aged 13 to 17 years to receive a Walmart gift card.
